Morris + Essex

feather-cards.jpg

I find I send out more card when they’re blank on the inside, rather than having a huge stack of cards for “all occasions. Because they’re never really right for the occasion. And so I’m always on the lookout for new cards to send out. Etsy has become a fabulous resource for this, with so many amazing card designers I never seem to see the same design twice!

Morris + Essex is just such a card designer. With designs that are clean and modern, I can see myself using every one of their designs for just about everyone I know. Which is key for me. I need to know that I can grab a card at random from my box of greeting cards and not have to worry about it being appropriate for the soon-to-be recipient!

Classic Work Fashion From Ohnetitel

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

thumbnail18.jpg

While I currently work in an extremely casual work environment, I’m working towards a second degree that will have me back in schools (as a librarian!), and so I’m already looking towards the day when I’ll have to dress a little nicer.

Ohnetitel seems to have read my mind, as their spring/summer 2007 collection screams dressy yet casual chic to me. This all-black ensemble is my favorite, and hopefully soon dressing like this will be an everyday affair for me. Hopefully I can pull of the wide leg pants even though I’m barely five feet tall! What do you think of classic looks like this?

Head on over to Shoeboxers, where you can find the perfect pair of stilletos to match your new all-black work ensemble!

shoulder_stripe.jpg

I’ve already started my search for the perfect bag for spring, and I think I hit the jackpot. Hayden-Harnett has an entire section on their website devoted to gems like the one above, and thank goodness their prices are more reasonable than most designer bags, because I want several!

Can’t afford one of their purses? Head on over to their accessories section, where their wallets and clutches fall well within most people’s budgets, and are super cute!

Not sure if you love the tunic look still? Check out Paris Hilton in a version of a dress two other celebs wore back in September over at Style Fix and see if that doesn’t help you make up your mind!

Monday, January 28th, 2008

urban-outfitters-dress.jpg

Now that Omaha finally entered the 21st century and added an Urban Outfitters to our shopping options, I find myelf on their online store less and less often. I caught wind that some of their items were starting to be made by indie shops, however, and headed over to their site to check it out, where I discovered they’re offering free shipping on orders over $150! Couple that with their “boutique” section of pheomenal dresses, and I can feel myself reaching towards my credit card as I type!

Check out the hits and misses of the SAG Awards over at Celebrity Fashion Watch, and be sure to voice your opinions! There was some great dresses last night!

Dwell Studio For Target Available Now!

Monday, January 28th, 2008

I will fully admit I’m in love with Target. I love all things available from the store, I love how they bring in select designers to do seasonal collections on their clothes, love their back-to-school section … I just am in love with the Target. The only thing that could eclipse my love for them? If they were to carry yarn and knitting needles.

dwell.jpg

While they haven’t hopped on board that train yet, they have started to carry Dwell Studio’s baby clothing, accessories and furniture. These understated and modern pieces are so adorable, with the clothing fitting infants to toddlers and the furniture cool enough to use in even an adult’s room.

I’ve got a few baby showers to attend in the near future, so this is perfect timing for me and my love of all things modern! Head on over to Target’s website to check the items out for yourself!

The Monkey doesn’t mind it so much, because he gets me in sexy undies, and I love it because I get tremendous sales on otherwise expensive necessities! Right now Victoria’s Secret is in the throes of it’s Semi-Annual Sale, and coupled with their already low prices I’ve got another great online shopping deal to sweeten the pot.

From now until January 31 (the end of the sale) if you purchase more than $100 online, use the code “VSHIP100″ and get free shipping! Head on over and snap up some bras, undies, clothes, pajamas and more!

Want to dress like a celebirty? Now you can, by buying the clothes off Hayden Panetierre’s back! Check out the full scoop over at Style Fix!

New Writer!

Friday, January 25th, 2008

Robyn here, the new writer for Internet Shop Girl! I’ll be posting regularly starting Monday, but wanted to give everyone a head’s up that I was here and ready to go!

I’ll be adding a poll to the sidebar today, asking your opinions on what sorts of things you’re most interested in. My “expertise”, as it were, leans more towards indie shops, but that does NOT in any way mean I have a problem surfing around places like Target and other larger stores for the best deals! Keep a lookout for the poll, as your answers will help me tailor this site to YOU better!

Until then, check out my other 451 writing over at Watching Showtime!
