These are appropriate things to give to school age children, so you will definitely earn more appreciation by putting these in little kids’ stockings. But surprisingly, a cousin of mine who is a mom herself, was too excited to find these colored pencils. And I thought, why not gift these to adults, too?

Parents know the dilemma of dressing up little children. I don’t know about you but I usually get clothes that are a size bigger for practicality. Kids grow up really fast and clothes don’t come cheap. So with loose clothes, like pants, for instance, I usually have a belt to put on. Except that with me, kids don’t stay still for too long to have their belts put on properly. And some of them don’t even want to wear belts.

The Dapper Snapper is the quick solution to this. It’s like half a belt which you can snap on to the waist of the pants of your child. Because it takes one or two snaps, you eliminate the fuzz and the whining from impatient little kids. It comes in a variety of colors which helps spruce up the little one’s wardrobe.

Have you started with your Christmas decorations? I haven’t the slightest idea what to do this year. But I like this holiday ornaments from designer Melissa Borrell.

These are made from photo-etched stainless steel and each snowflake measures about 2 1/4″ when popped out. One ornament is about $14 each…and I have to admit it is pretty pricey for my budget. But since I’m looking for something fresh to decorate my house with this season, for its design, style and quality I’d say it’s well worth it. I am so done with Christmas wreaths, bells and balls.

Hang it on Christmas trees, display these against windows or create a ribbon of snowflakes to hang by the door. Seize up your creativity! These snow trinkets are what you need for a sparkling holiday season.

It’s a couple of weeks more before Christmas. Have you gone over your shopping list? Do you have anything to stuff the Christmas stockings with?  I’ll try and offer you a couple of suggestions…

First on the list is this reusable bags from Flip and Tumble.

I find bags like these really very useful when I’m out shopping myself.  I no longer go home with 10 or so bags of items I’ve hoard at the mall. With these reusable or recyclable bags, I leave the shop with just one bag and all of what I’ve purchased in it. When not in use, the bag is foldable to a size so small, you can slip it inside your purse, or the glove compartment.
