My previous post has inspired me to hunt for lunch bags, and not the kind that’s suited for seven year olds. I was looking more into lunch bags yuppies and business people can carry around at the office. Packing lunch seems the practical thing to do today, as prices are rising.

So, are there lunch bags with really fancy designs online or are most lunch bags boring and generic?

I have seen plenty of reusable grocery bags everywhere, ever since conscientious grocery shopping is has become the “in” thing to do…what with the increasing awareness about our responsibility towards the environment.

Some grocery bags look good enough to carry around other places like good, trusty tote bags and this recent find is actually selling really fast at Amazon. (Did you know Amazon has recently opened their new Green section?)

Purple goes with the mood of this season. For tops, purple is feminine, soothing and cool. For other things, purple is fun and whimsical but in an almost subdued way.

I’ve been looking around for a good bag I can use everyday. My preference are tote bags where I can stuff all my junk and yet I still prefer a compact one so that I know where everything goes. I’m ruling out sophisticated designs and leather totes as much as possible since it doesn’t go with my laid back lifestyle. So, here’s what I’m liking so far…

L.A.M.B. ‘Aston - Winston’ Satchel

This bag speaks “me” for some reason. No-nonsense and reliable. It’s made of leather though, but it it’s not at all a dressy bag I’d have a hard time pairing with jeans, which is my everyday attire. There is a cellphone pocket inside, which makes it so accessible for me. The only hitch? I am not in the habit of spending for bag I think is too pricey at $725.00

Melanie Canvas Tote

Now this is right up my alley when there is a budget to consider as the bag costs under $30 only. It’s made of canvass, which I prefer over leather or even faux leather. I’m not so thrilled about the silver buckles though.

Nine West Work It Tote

Maybe I should go with a little color than just basic black or earth tones? I kinda like this one, it’s a combination of two soothing, yummy colors that make me wanna bite into it or something. Price suits me fine too at $110. Only thing is…will this go with most of my everyday clothes?

These are just three choices I’m looking at but I’ve got plenty more styles and options to check. This is the stressful part to shopping — I can’t make a choice!

There’s something very 80’s about this messenger bag which is why I so love it. It’s very, very ideal for kids who are now back at school. The bag is mostly made of polyester and durable nylon, so cleaning and taking care of it is no problem (just dab a damp cloth here and there). The rest of the bag’s design is made of rubber.

The bag has enough pockets to store pens, books and whatnots and yes, the speakers actually work with an iPod!! It does require four AA batteries to work though. But I’m positive teenagers and tweeners would love a bag like this for school. Personalization is optional.

For $19.99? I think this is a great buy!
