Mary Kate and Ashley’s 2008 Jewelry Line
Okay a lot of their items go for about $65- $500 but I guess you’re also paying for the name and for quality.
In collaboration with Robert Lee Morris, one of the premiere jewelry and accessory designers in the US, famous celebrity twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen unleash their latest product line — five fiercely designed jewelry pieces from the Elizabeth and James Collection. The pieces are currently up for pre-order at Intermix. They will actually be available come September.
These are frankly not my style and I would imagine, not everybody’s style as well. Daggers in necklaces? I’ll pass. But then I’m also not hip and kind of old. It will be out of character of me if I wear pieces with snakes on it. These definitely fit a much younger set. The pieces are very trendy.
The jewelry looks good when worn by itself but I think they do pair much better when mixed with other accessories.
I do have a favorite piece though. It’s the Cross Chain Necklace which is designed bit more subtly than the rest of the jewelry line.
About 40′ long, this golden bronze necklace is designed with small crosses with interlocking links. To me it’s quite a versatile piece. I imagine I could wear it at a semi-formal function and yet I can also wear this when I’m in jeans.
The Elizabeth and James Collection carry about eighty or more styles of rings, earrings, necklaces and metal cuffs. Some are designed with beading or daggers and crosses.
